When I first began this novel I had envisioned it for younger readers and the title was going to be MOUTHY MAX, about a kid with a smart mouth. Well, that obviously changed, and changed rather quickly as I began plotting and writing out the novel. Book Trivia: Max's full name is Maximillian Aiden Dane. It's an acronym for MAD. And Max often ponders if he's going crazy. Also, I'm huge fan of the original MAD MAX Trilogy. I didn't want to go with Maxwell for his first name, he just doesn't strike me as a Maxwell. The name Maximillian seems to hint at a darker side and so that was more fitting. #BookTrivia

Book Trivia: at the Halloween Bazaar Asuka Lee is part of a "Talking Head Buffet." I was part of one with some of my fellow theater students during college. We were paid to insult people as they were getting food from the buffet. We got a lot of food shoved in our mouths that night.
